August 23rd, 2009- It was a great moment for Striker Christopher Noethe on Saturday as the young footballer scored off of the bench for Greuther Fuerth in the 90th minute, capping a 2-1 victory over Arminia Bielefeld in Bielefeld proper. Noethe joined fellow Striker Bernd Nehrig who scored in the 22nd minute in a game that featured great shooting from the Shamrocks in intermittent rain.

The game was characterized by Fuerth finally controling their opposition on defense and giving their own guys a chance to score. Their next opponent will be Alemannia Aachen in a home match. Tickets are already hard to come by as news of Fuerth's opening run is starting to spread through the town.
